Name: Katerina “Kate” Ashcroft

Nationality: English, Russian
Allegiance and why: To her Country and her family. She was born and raised in England and her father, a member of the British aristocracy, instilled in her a great sense of national pride.
Social Status and/or Occupation: Kate is a member of the upper class and has no official occupation, though she longs for a life-long companion.
Brief description of your characters history, including family: Katerina is the only child of a wealthy English merchant and his Russian wife. She was born and raised in England by her doting parents, who ensured she had the very best education. Kate is particularly close to her mother, Lena, who taught her to speak fluent Russian and raised her with a warm and caring touch, not bothering to leave Kate with a governess at all times. However, Kate loves her father Charles dearly, though for different reasons. He is far more serious than Lena and this reflected his participation in his daughter’s education. He made sure that Kate loved God and her country, and was also rather strict when it came to schoolwork (now that she is older, Kate has learned to appreciate her father’s firm hand when it came to school). Lena is rather liberal. The fact that Kate is just barely 25 and not yet married, let alone betrothed, is her mother’s doing. Lena understands the need for a convenient marriage but believes that her daughter has the right to at least have a say in who she gives her hand to.
Katerina is accomplished with needlepoint and enjoys writing poetry, though she has yet to share any of her creative works with another human being. She loves to match wits with her father, her uncle (who dotes on her immensely), and his son (her eldest cousin) at different parlour games and adores dancing and socializing. Though Kate is a fiery young lady with her own ideals and opinions, she longs to settle down with a decent man and start her own household and have her own family.
One or two plots which you would like to play out in the community: Finding a potential husband for Kate, possibly getting mixed up a bit in the business with France.
Are there any other characters you would like to see in the game? For instance, family, friends of your character?: Katerina’s parents, her fraternal uncle and his oldest son. Any friends and enemies are welcome as well.
